Do I need the internet to use Accuvanta?
No. Accuvanta works on your own computer and office network. You need the internet for Mobile, for working from home, and to download updates.
Can I move from QuickBooks, Sage, Pastel or Palladium?
Yes. Your accounts, customers, suppliers, items, open invoices and bills, and history come across, and the move is proved by your trial balance before you go live.
What happens after the 30-day trial?
Buy a licence and enter the code; you carry on with the same data. If you don't, Accuvanta becomes read-only: you can still view, report, export and back up.
How are backups done?
Accuvanta backs up every company automatically on a schedule and checks each backup before keeping it. Keep a copy on a USB drive or another computer too.
Can several people work at the same time?
Yes. Each person has their own login and permissions, on their own PC or phone. A login can only be open on one computer at a time.
Is my data sent to Accuvanta?
No. Your books stay on your computer. Mobile traffic passes, encrypted, straight to your own computer. Optional online services (such as the AI add-on) receive only what they need for that request. See our privacy notice.
Do you have point of sale and payroll?
Yes, as add-ons that post into the same books: tills for shops, bottle stores and restaurants, and payroll with SARS submissions.
Can my accountant or auditor work with it?
Yes. Give them a user with the Accountant or Auditor (read-only) role, or send them the audit pack: one Excel workbook with everything they ask for at year end.
